Are you ready to become part of the biggest student network in Europe? Are you ready to embark on an exciting and fulfilling international-minded career? Then why not become one more of our sections, just keep on reading!
For creating a section you first need a group of enthusiastic people who wish to work on the ESN idea offering services and taking care of international students at your university.
A good way to find interested people is by engaging your friends, placing an advertisement in the university newspaper or distributing flyers.
Another source of contacts is the administration at your university and especially the International Office and Student Union. They know the names of the outgoing former exchange students and can help you with recruiting members.
It is much more easier to work as a section in ESN, when you have the support from your university's International Relation Office.
Usually, they are willing to put you in contact with visiting international students, to help you with financing, office and place to host the activities.
We would expect that the sections joining the ESN work in accordance with our official principles. Please have a look at these pages now and make sure, that you can accept the core of ESN.
They are the ones who can help you in creating a new section is the National board of ESN Finland. They will give any needed advice, put you in contact with already existing sections and help you to become formally a member section of ESN. So, do not hesitate to contact your National board You can do that by sending mail to board(at)esnfinland.eu.
All new sections in Finland have to be approved on the National Platform, which is the meeting of all sections on the national level.
For applying for the membership in ESN you should just fill in the application form you can find here. Send it jointly with your statutes to your National Representative or to the Vicepresident of ESN Initernational.
After a successful application process we will warmly welcome you to ESN with all the necessary information and documents!
